Hair Loss

Just a family problem?

Hair Loss affects many adults, and the problem can occur or begin to occur even as early as the 20’s.  Hair Loss is not really a problem in and of itself as it does not present any particular health threat, however it can have a detrimental affect on the self esteem of the individual and even lead to social anxiety.  Hair Loss does not only occur in men, but it also can occur in women.  It tends to usually be a hormonal change that can trigger hair loss, in both men and women.

Hair Loss usually occurs when the hair at the crown of the head begins to fall out on a regular basis.  Then that hair is replaced by thinner hair due to a weakening of the hair follicles.  This thinner hair is problematic as it does not stay and can be combed out or pulled out with ease.

Another reason to monitor hair loss in an individual is to make sure that no other problems are causing this symptom.  Many times, hair loss can be a mere indicator of a much larger problem, and if that is the case, the root cause needs to be determined as soon as possible.

Hair loss usually occurs, as we said before, with hormonal or emotional changes in the body.  Stress is a major factor.  Often times, hair loss can occur in women after the birth of a child, due to the hormonal change that occurs after pregnancy.  As you can see, there are many reasons why hair loss can occur.  But, there are just as many remedies for this very common problem.

Hair Loss Defeated

For a hair loss remedy, it is important to keep in mind that stress and diet are to of the main non-hormonal factors.  So when attempting to treat this problem, it is important to reduce the amount of stress in your life as this can be the most prevalent culprit.  Take part in breathing exercises if necessary to help lower your heart rate and approach your day in a peaceful, positive light.  Next, your diet is another huge factor.

Hair loss is not directly linked to any particularly bad diet problem; however changing your diet in favor of curing this issue is a very necessary part to dealing with hair loss.  Make sure you eat lots of naturally grown potatoes, with the skins still on them, as will as cucumbers (also with the skins still on them).  The skins to many vegetables contain a property that will naturally strengthen the solvency of your hair follicles.  Also, remember to keep eating natural and organic foods as processing may have been developing an allergic reaction, which could be the hair loss itself.

Last, massage your scalp with lavender and almond oils of equal parts, as these have pH changing properties and can neutralize the oils on your scalp that stress has produced and that may be the cause of your hair loss problem.
