Ear Infections In Children

Ear Infections

Ear infections are some of the most common reasons for doctor’s visits, especially for children.  An ear infection can often be very painful and can affect the person’s ability to hear.  Accompanied with the ear infection can be a fever or chills, as will as a sharp pain in the inner ear.  One of the biggest reasons why children tend to be far more susceptible to ear infections is that their inner ear is still not quite fully developed and are shorter than the adult ear.  This allows for the transfer for harmful bacteria and viruses.  These can nest in the ear, causing these symptoms.  This can be very difficult to treat, but as we said before, doctors will often prescribe antibiotics, such as amoxicillin and penicillin.  These antibiotics are seen as the first line of defense against ear infections, but the bad part is that these can often impair the child’s immune system rather than strengthen it.  Doctors may often recommend surgery or even inserting tubes in the ears, but it goes without saying that there are often even worse drawbacks to surgery than the ailment itself.

It is important to note that if ear infections are left untreated, that they can develop into far worse problems and the infection can get worse, causing more pain and even permanently damaging the ear.  Instead of using medications or surgery, natural approaches are most preferred as this will not only strengthen the immune system, but it will be far more cost effective than a doctor’s visit and giving you peace of mind that you were able to deal with the problem without letting big Pharmaceutical into your child’s body.

An infection like many others

Ear infections can be cured using very simple home remedies.  You don’t have to go to the doctor or send your child to surgery, as many would have you believe.  One of the reasons why the medical industry does not want you to know about several of these home remedies is because there is no profit in it for them whatsoever.

An excellent way to deal with this type of infection is through using garlic.  Garlic is very effective against ear infections because of the ingredients inside the garlic, the same ingredients that cause garlic to smell the way it does.

All you have to do is place fresh cut garlic in a tissue, then wrap the garlic up in the tissue and place it inside the child’s ear.  Do not push the garlic too far, as you do not want to get it stuck inside the ear, but just enough to let the juices absorb into the ear area.

It is also important to wrap the garlic in the tissue as often times the potency of the juices will irritate the skin inside the ear.

If you do this for about a minute, the pain should subside within fifteen minutes, and the infection will be gone within days.

Using onions is also acceptable, and using garlic oil will also work.  Do not get unscented garlic, as it is the smelly active ingredient in the garlic that kills the infection.

After reading through this post and the comments I’d like to offer a few important points. First, when your toenail is damaged, the damaged nail needs to grow out. The damaged nail cannot be cured or repaired. By eliminating the fungal infection and healing the area around the damaged nail, your new toenail can grow in healthy and normal. The second point is a toenail infection is contagious. If you have a nail fungus be sure you don’t share your nail clippers with another family member, room mate or friend. The third point is a new nail can take up to 6 months to grow out. Be cautious of anyone offering a product claiming less time for a new nail. A toenail will grow at a much slower rate than a fingernail.Yellow Toenails´s last [type] ..Get Answers to Toenail Problems
