Situation not looking up…
Depression belongs to an even larger problem known as mental disorders. Often times mental disorders have to do with behavioral problems, thought problems, imbalances, toxins, allergies, mood swings, and many other issues.
On this particular article, however, we will focus primarily on depression or anxiety. In many cases, depression is one of the most prevalent problems in society, as doctors prescribe depression medications more than most medications. There are many types of depression medications that either attempt to level imbalances in the system, but also deal directly with the symptoms such as using sedatives and sleeping agents.
Depression is categorized by a myriad of anti-social behaviors and has a tendency to be over generalized. Certain types of depression include, the need to be isolated, anxiety in public or social settings, sadness, numbness of emotion, and other social and emotional related issues. Anxiety deals directly with fears, such as phobias, deep-seated emotional fears, anxiety in public settings, anxiety in isolated settings, and the list goes on.
In many cases, not on a medical level, this type of depression in society may also have to do with how society as a whole is structured in these new and modern times. Society is at loss for more and more respectable town and social centers. Where once, people congregated and towns were small, and people walked to and fro, we now clime into cars, go home from work, and turn on the TV. Each individual has been cut off from everyday human interaction and is now at the mercy of the system that corporate America has built. The more technologically advanced humanity seems to progress in social spheres, the more each person becomes more and more disenfranchised from his or her fellow human. It is time to have those cookouts and gatherings again, it is time to reclaim our humanity, and no drug from the big corporate pharmaceutical money machine will accomplish this.
It’s time to look up.
