Breathing through your nose
You brush your teeth every morning and evening. You don’t eat spicy or garlic laced food. You aren’t sick, and you even use mouthwash before you go to bed at night, but to no avail. You just can’t seem to get rid of your bad breath.
Bad breath will affect countless people, but it has never really been considered a medical health issue, which is why we decided to address it here. We understand that dealing with medical conditions also means improving the quality of your life, so that is why we are deciding to tackle this subject that seems to affect many people.
Bad breath seems to be only pinned down as being something that has to do with eating strong tasting foods and only has to do with those who don’t take care of their teeth. We disagree, because there has been countless evidence that suggests that bad breath might have an underlying cause. Often times, natural health and wellness doctors will smell the breath to figure out what the ailment might be. Often times, bad breath may signal a problem with the stomach or even gastrointestinal problems. If your food is not digesting properly, you can bet that the aroma will escape the stomach, causing your bad breath. Sometimes, you can even attribute this problem to lowered pH in the stomach. If you feel chronically tired after meals, it is because your body is working too hard to digest what you’ve already eaten, causing your drowsiness, as well as your bad breath.
Breath of fresh air!
It is important to address your diet when dealing with bad breath. Diet is always a major factor when experiencing problems that have to do with the mouth, all the way to the colon. So make sure you are cutting out obvious causes, such as coffee, spicy foods, and garlic. Also, you might be dealing with a GI problem, so be sure to treat your colon well and allow it to heal. You might consider a colon cleanse if you are running into bad breath and stomach issues. Often times, your colon has a build up of toxins, and these toxins may be the root causation of your ailment.
It is important to drink plenty of fluids and eat lots of organic and whole grain breads. Keeping your fiber up will allow you to keep you food passing through your body while absorbing the nutrients.
The main target is that you want to keep the substances that your body is not going to use, simply moving through your body, and you want to absorb the essential substances that your body will use. If you are having two to three bowel movements a day, you’re doing fine. If not, then you might want to take care of that problem. A bad odor can be caused by more than just not brushing your teeth. You might be dealing with a processed food build-up in your system. In which case, you need to get it out of your body.
